But for normal everyday exposed shots I though Neat Video was okay, so for everything else in my film I used the built-in denoiser in Resolve. I used it on my film for about three or four shots which were right on the razor's edge of being unusable and I was astonished how well I was able to recover them. For $99 it's a steal and should be used as a surgical tool when you really need it. You need to tweak the settings with a light hand but the results can really save some seriously dodgy shots. So you can feel free to browse the websites of awesome plugin manufacturers like Waves, Slate Digital, Native Instruments, UAD, and Arturia to see what. However, I did buy the Neat Video plugin which delivers a surprisingly powerhouse noise reduction for low light situations.
